Sacramental Wines
In the 60s Martinez brothers ex salesiani pupils, have widened their production, historically made up of typical Sicilian Marsala and fortified wines, with sacramental wines nowadays sold all over the world.
Canon 924 code

Sacramental wine is produced according to the dictates of Canon Law. At Chapter 1, Section 3, Canon 924 states: “Wine must be natural, fruit of the vine and not altered”.
Grape: fruit of the earth
and work of man
In Martinez winery Sacramental Wine is produced with a blend of the principal grape varieties in the province of Trapani: Catarratto, Inzolia and Grillo according to white types and Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese for red ones.
Analysis
Once completed the production process, two samples of wine are taken from the winery, one of which is delivered to a laboratory of the diocese that analyzes it, the other one is stored in the Diocesi.
Seal of Diocese
If wine results suitable by the analysis, liturgical office gives us the certificate authorizing the company to production and commercialization. This certification has been continuously recognized to Martinez Winery since the 60s.

Bottling
In the presence of liturgical office Director, wine is bottled and shipped to the diocese all over the world, always linked to a certification of suitability of the Diocese. Each bottle contains the reference of the authorization of diocesan liturgical office and its seal.
The consecration
From the vine, our wine arrives onto the altar after several month, during which it is worked with care and attention as it can be kept unchanged at every consecration.
